Alex is a rare commodity, leveraging his significant practical knowledge and experience in geoscience data and workflows with his talent/hobby of building user-friendly complex data wrangling tools. Alex's tools, for example his geological horizon mapping tool were revolutionary and greatly improved our teams' capabilities and efficiency, and were therefore greatly appreciated.

It was a privilege to have the opportunity to manage and collaborate with Alex. Alex’s professional background consists of a technical foundation in geosciences and data science. Alex and I collaborated on many projects that resulted in solutions that were innovative and “out of the box”. His ability to tackle large items quickly and efficiently helped to streamline multiple workflows resulting in a more efficient use of time and energy. Alex built multiple tools to assist in reservoir evaluations, such as a custom Horizontal Landing Calculator and a Vertical Perf ID Calculator, utilizing Python and R with a GUI in Spotfire. His ingenuity was seen again and again in projects ranging from ArcGIS mapping, data management, wind turbine efficiencies and cost modelling to oil and gas exploration. Alex’s ability to take complex information and break it down for a larger group to understand is remarkable. Just a few of Alex’s most notable strengths are his knowledge base, curiosity, learning mentality, and ability to mentor others. Alex is a disruptor to the norm and brings impactful solutions to the team. I hope our paths cross again someday so that I have the chance to work alongside Alex again!

As an engineer and the former COO & CDO for Primexx Operating Corp., I have known Alex for his entire work career. I observed him rise from clerk to geo tech, and then as he accomplished his undergraduate degree from junior to senior geologist. I have found Alex to be a dependable, technically advanced geologist with skill sets that allowed him to be valuable in waterflood performance analysis, directional drilling/steering and the creation and manipulation of various databases, both geologic and engineering. With the further accomplishment of a Masters in "mega data" he would be a valuable addition to any geologic team, but particularly one that is embracing statistical analysis in either conventional or unconventional plays.
